Our Vocational School Attended the Workshop on the Future Roadmap in Vocational Schools: Education, Technology, and Sector Meetings

Today, on June 25, 2025, the "Workshop on the Future Roadmap of Vocational Schools: Education, Technology, and Sector Meetings" was organized by the Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Vocational Schools Coordination at Lavanta Tepesi Hotel. The workshop, which started at 10:00, was held with the aims of determining strategies that will guide the future of vocational education, strengthening sector collaborations, and developing existing programs. 

MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin DALGAR, YÖK Advisor Assoc. Dr. İlyas KARA, MYK Representative Özgen ULUDAĞ, as well as representatives from 13 Vocational Schools, sector, alumni, and students, and academicians participated in the workshop. Following the opening speeches, Özgen ULUDAĞ, Head of the Turkish Qualifications Framework Department of the Vocational Qualifications Authority, delivered an expert speech. In the morning session, Dr. Lecturer Ahmet BÖBREK, Assoc. Dr. Ali İhsan KAYA, Dr. Lecturer Ali KAVURUR, Assoc. Dr. Bayram KILIÇ, Lecturer Betül Halime UZUNAY, Lecturer Durmuş Fatih MENGİ, Lecturer Fahrettin BOZ, Lecturer Gökhan TURAN, Lecturer Hasan Hüseyin UYSAL, Lecturer Hüseyin TURGUT, Lecturer İbrahim ÇETİNER, Assoc. Dr. İbrahim KIRBAŞ, Lecturer İnci BİLGE, Lecturer Muhammed KÖKCE, Lecturer Muharrem USTA, Lecturer Mustafa ARI, Lecturer Oktar SOYKAN, Assoc. Dr. Sedat METLEK, Lecturer Serkan ÖKTEM, Lecturer Sualp DENİZ, Lecturer Şevket BAŞ, Lecturer Tuncer DALGAR participated from our academic staff.

In the afternoon session, a panel session themed "Preparation for the Future for Vocational School Graduates: Sector Expectations and New Trends in Education" was organized. The panel, moderated by Prof. Dr. Ali Özhan AKYÜZ, included sector representatives such as Adnan AKCA, Administrative Affairs Director of Yaşam Hospitals Group, Özkan YALÇIN, Regional Manager of Prestij Information Systems R&D Inc., Adil GÜRKAN, Corporate Communication and Education Director of Kilit Hospitality Group, Musa ÖZEN, Production Manager of Sütofis Food Products Industry and Trade Inc., Özgür BULUT, Burdur Regional Manager of Akdeniz Electricity Distribution, and Süleyman TÜRK, Senior Manager of Human Resources and Support Operations at CK Energy. The panel discussed the preparation of vocational school graduates for the future and sector expectations.

In the final part of the workshop, advisory board table studies were conducted. Participants, divided into groups according to Technical, Health, and Social fields at a total of 30 tables, discussed topics such as sectoral alignment of the curriculum, internship and collaboration opportunities, graduate tracking systems, and technology and innovation in education. The relevant programs of the Technical Sciences Vocational School actively participated in the table studies with the Software Development and Programming program at Table 1, Interior Design program at Table 3, Electricity and Natural Gas and Installation Technology programs at Table 5, Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Technology and Automotive Technology programs at Table 6, Control and Automation Technology and Mechatronics programs at Table 7, Construction Technology program at Table 10, and Machine program at Table 12. The reports and minutes prepared by each table at the end of the session were presented in the closing and evaluation session held at the end of the workshop, and a general evaluation was made. The workshop was completed efficiently with the contributions of the participants.
