The conference on 'New Technologies and New Professions' organized by MAKÜ Technical Sciences Vocational School was held with great participation at the MAKÜ Conference Hall.
The event, featuring experts in their fields as speakers, provided students with important information about new technologies, career opportunities, and sectoral developments.
The opening speech of the conference was made by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Öz, Head of the Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies at the Technical Sciences Vocational School, who undertook the organization of the event.
In his speech, Öz emphasized the great importance of such events for students to gain not only academic but also sectoral knowledge, stating, "This conference will be a guide for our students both in their career planning and in their professional lives. At the same time, it serves as a bridge between our university and sector representatives," he said.
Thanking the participants and valuable speakers, Öz expressed his wish for the conference to be productive.
Emphasis on Domestic Battery Technologies and TOGG
The first speaker of the program was Erkal Mutlu, Business Development Manager of Lead Acid Battery and Test Managements.
Sharing his experiences in the sector and the projects carried out in his company with the participants, Mutlu provided detailed technical information about battery production processes and test managements.
Emphasizing the importance of domestic production, Mutlu said, “Our company produces the batteries for Turkey's pride, the domestic car TOGG. This is a great achievement not only for our company but also for our country,” he stated.
Mutlu also mentioned the internship and career opportunities they offer to students, reiterating their support in bringing young engineer candidates together with the sector.
The Age of Artificial Intelligence and Professions of the Future
In the second part of the conference, Prof. Dr. Çetin Elmas, Faculty Member of Electrical-Electronics Engineering at Gazi University, drew attention with his presentation titled “Artificial Intelligence and Future Technologies.” Elmas comprehensively addressed the current state of artificial intelligence, its applications in different sectors, and how it will shape human life in the future. Speaking about the importance of keeping up with technological transformation, Elmas said, “The professions of the future are shaping beyond our current habits. Keeping up with this change is only possible through continuous learning and following innovations.”
At the end of the event, participation certificates and gifts were presented to the speakers.
