Department of Computer Technologies Arabam.com and Emlakjet.com’s Career Talks with Leaders Event

A Career Talk event was held under the organization of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Career Development Application and Research Center and hosted by the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. Lecturer Gökhan TURAN, Lecturer Dr. Tülay TURAN and our department students from our Department of Computer Technologies participated in the Career Talk event.

Representatives of arabam.com and emlekjet companies, academics from different units of MAKÜ and students participated in the career talk. Umut Yenilmiş, Deputy General Manager of Information Technologies from arabam.com, Information Technologies Director İbrahim Özgön, R&D Manager Merve Şen, Data Science Experts Tolga Kaplan, Berke Yağmur, Hakkı Besim Bardakçı and Dilan Oragaz, CTO Mehmet Ali Erdin from emlakjet company, Software Development Manager Yalçın Doksanbir, Analysis Test Team Leader Volkan Sel, senior business analyst Umut Alkan and senior software expert Tuğçe Avşar shared their experiences in the sector.

The sector representatives who introduced their companies and themselves gave information about important issues to be considered in business life, the characteristics that students in the field of software and informatics should have. Company representatives gave important advice on what is needed to be successful in business life after graduation, internship and employment opportunities. The talk, in which active participation was provided, was conducted with the questions asked by the students to the company representatives about what they should do while their education continues, professional knowledge and skills. The talk was conducted with the questions asked by the students and academics and the answers of the sector representatives. At the end of the program, which was carried out in a very efficient and beneficial way, plaques and thank you certificates were presented to the company representatives who participated in the talk.

After the program, a cocktail was organized to enable students to communicate more closely with sector actors, to get information about business life, employment opportunities, how students in the field of software and informatics will improve themselves.

Cooperation Protocol Signed Between Sector and University

Within the scope of Sector University cooperation, a cooperation protocol was signed between MAKÜ and arabam.com and emlakjet companies for the joint conduct of internship and in-company vocational training applications to train students more competent and ready for the needs of the market. Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, arabam.com company representative Umut Yenilmiş, emlakjet company official Mehmet Ali Erdin attended the protocol signing ceremony held at the Rectorate office. With the protocols signed between MAKÜ and the companies, it is aimed to increase the project works and collaborations to be carried out by benefiting from the knowledge accumulation of MAKÜ in innovative studies, to raise the students more effectively, intertwined with their professions with practical training.
