The 2026-2027 Education-Training Year Orientation Program, organized by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Technical Sciences Vocational School to facilitate the adaptation of newly enrolled first-year students to university life, was held on Monday, September 28, 2026, at the MAKÜ Conference and Exhibition Hall.
During the program presented by Lecturer Samed ENSER, comprehensive information was provided to our students about the academic and administrative structure of our university and vocational school, educational processes, physical facilities, and campus opportunities.
Within the scope of the program, the academic calendar, course registration processes, ECTS system, attendance requirements, exam and success conditions, and graduation processes were discussed. Additionally, digital services that our students will use throughout their educational lives, such as MAKÜNET, MAKÜ Plus, Student Information System (OBIS), and others were introduced.
Information was provided about the 3+1 education model and vocational training in the workplace implemented in our vocational school, explaining the opportunities offered to students for their professional development and preparation for working life. Furthermore, information was shared about student communities, social, cultural, and sports activities, part-time work opportunities, and the İŞKUR Youth Program.
The orientation program aimed at ensuring our students make a conscious and equipped start to university life concluded with the completion of the informational presentation.
