Department of Computer Technologies Attended the 11th International Information Security and Cryptology Conference

With the organization of the Technology Community, the students of the Technical Sciences Vocational School Computer Technologies Department and the students of the Gölhisar Applied Sciences Vocational School Computer Technologies and Information Systems Department attended the 11th International Information Security and Cryptology Conference (ISCTurkey 2018) held at the Information Technologies and Communication Authority Center in Ankara on October 17, 2018.

The ISC Turkey 2018 Conference, also supported by the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) and included in the European Cyber Security month events, with the main theme determined as “Cyber Security and Blockchain Technology”, was followed with interest by our students.

At the conference, topics such as the increase in applications of machine-to-machine communication (M2M), Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, and Blockchain Technology fundamentally changing the nature of both cyber defense and cyber attacks, as well as new developments and changes in this field within the framework of Blockchain Technology; potential cyber attacks in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things and measures that can be taken against these attacks, as well as Turkey's cyber security strategy, domestically and nationally developed applications and similar topics were discussed.

The conference, organized by Technology Community Academic Advisor Lecturer Gökhan TURAN and Gölhisar Applied Sciences Vocational School Deputy Director Lecturer Bahtiyar USLU, with the participation of Dr. Lecturer Mustafa ŞEKER and students, was followed with interest by our students.

After the conference, which took place in the form of an information feast, the students expressed their satisfaction and stated that they expected the continuation of such very beneficial organizations.
