Meeting with the Industry from the Department of Machine and Metal Technologies: Technical Trip Conducted

Students of the Machine and Manufacturing Management Systems Operator Program conducted a technical trip on December 3, 2025, to observe the knowledge they gained in classes in the field and to reinforce their practical skills at three important production facilities operating in Burdur province.

During the trip organized under the supervision of program instructors, students visited the Yıldız Weapon Industry, Baydarlar Machine Tool Industry, and Altıniş Burdur Shaft Industry factories in turn. Students had the opportunity to observe the production processes carried out in the facilities, the manufacturing stages of machine parts, assembly operations, quality control practices, modern production technologies, and occupational health and safety practices on-site. It was stated that during the technical trip, detailed information was provided to students, increasing their professional knowledge and awareness, as well as allowing them to see the current practices of the industry on-site, thus making significant contributions to the education and training process.

As the Department of Machine and Metal Technologies, we plan to continue similar technical trips and events that will connect our students with the industry in the upcoming periods.
