Attention to Student Candidates Who Have Been Admitted to Our Vocational School

Welcome to the Technical Sciences Vocational School family. We congratulate you.

For information about the registration process, we recommend that you first follow the announcements on mehmetakif.edu.tr. Our unit's address and contact information are available on our website.

No documents are required from candidates of all programs except for the candidates who have won the programs listed in the attachment, which are not deemed suitable for electronic registration. Electronic registration is sufficient.

Students who do not prefer electronic registration or whose electronic registration is not done due to mandatory reasons can carry the documents listed below (not mandatory) in addition to the health report and other documents requested in the attached table.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR FINAL REGISTRATION

• ·         Original or certified copy of the diploma received from the secondary education institution the candidate graduated from or a new dated graduation certificate
• ·         6 photos sized 4.5 x 6 (cm), (The photos must have been taken within the last six months, from the front, in a way that easily identifies the candidate.)
• ·         Document related to the payment of the contribution fee/tuition fee, (for second education, etc.)

·         The military status of the conscripts who are placed in a higher education program with YKS can be seen by the universities at http://kamu.turkiye.gov.tr internet address. If candidates have any issues related to military service, they will be directed to military branches and will be required to present their deferment documents.

Attention to New Student Candidates!!!

• Our students who prefer to make an Electronic Registration can log in to https://turkiye.gov.tr with the e-government password they will obtain from PTT Branches between August 29 - September 2, 2020, and complete their electronic registration by clicking the 'University E-Registration' option from the Higher Education Council section. For detailed information; you can review the E registration information guide at E_devlet_kayıt.
  
• Students who will take the make-up or single course exam as they cannot graduate from secondary education institutions as of the registration date, and students who have the right to enroll in two associate or two undergraduate programs simultaneously as of the registration date, must apply in person to the relevant faculty/vocational school/vocational school they were placed by ÖSYM between August 31 - September 4, 2020, to make their temporary registrations. This type of students' placement in any program in YKS preferences and placements is not an obstacle. Candidates who have the right to enroll in a higher education program but are at the graduation stage in secondary education institutions, associate degree programs, or undergraduate programs and will take an internship, make-up, or single course exam will also have their temporary registrations made to higher education institutions on the specified dates. If these candidates submit their graduation documents to the higher education institution by December 31, 2020, their actual registrations will be made. The temporary registrations of those who do not document their graduation by this date will be deleted, and the registrations of candidates who do not make their temporary registrations on the specified dates will not be made.
• EDUCATION FEE (only for the second education of the construction department)
  According to the Council of Ministers Decision; Students who will enroll in second education programs will pay the tuition fee. Tuition fee collections will start on Saturday, August 29, 2020, and students who prefer or do not prefer electronic registration must pay their tuition fees before registration. Tuition fees can be deposited by specifying your student number at any Vakıfbank Branch in Turkey, through ATMs or internet banking, until the end of business on Friday, September 4, 2020, after confirming that the payment has been made in your name. Be sure to check and keep the bank receipt related to the payment. Students who will newly enroll in first education programs (except for Health Field Undergraduate Completion Engineering Undergraduate Completion Students) will not pay a contribution fee. You can learn the amount to be deposited and your student number from the Student_Number_Inquiry address.

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT REGISTRATION

Registrations of those who do not pay the tuition fee within the specified period will not be made under any circumstances.

Candidates who do not register within the specified dates cannot claim any rights.

Students who want to study in the optional preparatory class must fill out the "Optional Preparatory Class Registration Petition" while registering for the course. (The Optional Preparatory Class Program is conducted at our University's School of Foreign Languages)

Students who apply for the optional preparatory class or not can withdraw their application during the add-drop week determined in the academic calendar of the School of Foreign Languages or apply for preparatory class education.

Our university is authorized to take necessary legal actions against candidates who register by making false statements.

Students who complete the registration process by applying in person and who will apply for dormitory can obtain their student certificate from the registration office during registration or through e-government, and students who register through e-government can obtain it through e-government.

Students who newly enroll in our university must register for courses in accordance with the Academic Calendar published on our University's website.
