For Distance Education Courses (AİİT and TD) SPRING Semester MIDTERM Exam Schedule

IMPORTANT WARNING: Try to take the exam during working hours (09:00 - 17:00) as much as possible. If you forget your OBS Password for system login, change your password by contacting the student affairs at your school. To test whether you can log into the system, log in 1-2 days before the exam and make a trial, if you encounter any problems, solve them before the exam.
1) The midterm exams of the courses "Atatürk's Principles and History of Revolution" and "Turkish Language" will be held on the same day.
2) For both courses, the exams in the Distance Education System will be active at 09:00. On the same day at 22:00 will end. The student can log into the system at any time within the specified time frame and take their exams. Once the exam starts, the "Exam Durations" begin. The exam duration ends after the specified time by the Instructor of the relevant course "after the student starts the exam". You must answer all questions within the time frame specified by the Instructor.
3) If a student cannot take the exam due to an excuse on the exam day, they must apply to their "Academic Unit with a Petition for Excuse" as in normal courses, and if the board of directors deems it appropriate, the student will be given a "Make-up Exam". After notifying the students who will take the Make-up Exam to the “Distance Education Application and Research Center” as the Academic Unit, you can participate in the Make-up Midterm Exam.
4) For Distance Education Courses, the “Distance Education Application and Research Center” has determined the Make-up Midterm Exam Day as Friday, April 24, 2020. The exam time range is again 09:00 – 22:00.
5) If you encounter any problems during the midterm exam, you can get support by writing your problem to the email address uzak@mehmetakif.edu.tr . To participate in the midterm exam, you need to log in to the web address “ http://uzak.mehmetakif.edu.tr ” with your Student Information System (OBS) account information.
6) The midterm exam will be remote (online). The final exam will be held in a classroom environment.
7) The impact of the remote (online) midterm exam on the grade average is 20%, and the final exam is 80%.

WARNING:
With the amendment made on 10/07/2019 in the Associate Degree/Undergraduate regulation of our University, subparagraph b of the 3rd paragraph of article 20 has become "It is mandatory to participate in the midterm exam/exams held during the semester/year of the course." Therefore, all students of our University are required to participate in the relevant semester midterm exams in order to participate in the end-of-semester/make-up exams.
