“Atatürk's Principles and History of Reforms”, “Turkish Language” Courses Will Be Given Through Distance Education Method. The relevant courses are 4 hours each and the details regarding their operation are below.

Live Steps to Join the Live Class and Watch Class Videos

1. In the Web Browser http://uzak.mehmetakif.edu.tr Learning Management System Opens.

2. On the Learning Management System Page Username: “Your Student Number” Password: “Your OBIS Password” is written and you log into the Learning Management System. (OBIS Account Information will be used as Username and Password.)

3. You can learn the steps to join the live class, watch weekly class videos, and participate in the midterm exam from the http://uzak.mehmetakif.edu.tr web address “Learning Management System User Guide”. Additionally, you can also gain this information by watching the videos available at the system login.

Important Explanations

1. Attendance is Mandatory in “Atatürk's Principles and History of Reforms”, “Turkish Language” Courses.

2. The courses consist of 2 parts: “Weekly Course Records” and “Live Class”. The “Live Class” will be held in the “3rd and 4th Class Hours” of the relevant week. In the “1st and 2nd Class Hours”, the course record available in the system will be watched, and in the “3rd and 4th Class Hours”, any questions related to the topic will be asked live to the relevant Instructor.

3. “5 Short Quizzes” will be conducted at regular intervals. The effect of the short quizzes will be reflected in the final exam. The dates of the short quizzes are not determined, but the first short quiz will be conducted starting from the 4th week. Once a short quiz is active, you can participate in the exam at any time for one week. You cannot participate in the exam after the time has passed.

4. Absences will be determined based on the “Completion of Activities” rates. To avoid failing due to absences, the Activity Completion rate must be at least 70%. Activity Completion includes Watching Course Records, Participating in Live Classes, Downloading and Studying Course Documents - Presentations, and Short Quizzes (Quiz).
