In accordance with the decision taken at the Protocol Executive Committee Meeting held on October 9, 2025, between the Burdur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and our Directorate, a conference on "Career Management in a Digitalizing World" was organized on Monday, December 15, 2025, in our University Conference and Exhibition Hall. Dr. Cengiz TAVUKÇUOĞLU, a trainer from TOBB ETÜ SEM, participated as a speaker.

During the conference, it was emphasized that digital transformation fundamentally changes the understanding of careers; it was stated that traditional career ladders are being replaced by new career models based on flexibility, versatility, and continuous learning. Dr. Cengiz Tavukçuoğlu provided participants with comprehensive information about the effects of emerging technologies on the labor market, the importance of digital competencies in professional development, and new generation job search strategies.

In his speech, Tavukçuoğlu, who defined the traditional understanding of career as "climbing a ladder," noted that in the digital age, this approach has been replaced by a multidimensional and dynamic career network. Emphasizing that career management is now the individual's own responsibility, Tavukçuoğlu stated that this process should be approached not only with the goal of finding a job but also with continuous learning, digital visibility, and strategic planning.

The seminar also addressed ways to gain a competitive advantage in the digital world, critical skills that stand out in future professions, and the evolving structure of professional networking. Participants were advised to increase their visibility by sharing their projects, certifications, and professional opinions on digital platforms.

At the end of the event, a plaque was presented to Dr. Cengiz TAVUKÇUOĞLU for his valuable presentations and contributions. The program concluded with a group photo taken with the participation of protocol members, academics, and students.
