A comprehensive technical trip was organized on December 11, 2025, to the Kilit Hospitality Group facilities located in Antalya, aimed at increasing the professional knowledge and awareness of students studying at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Technical Sciences Vocational School. A total of 73 students from the programs of Electrical, Mechatronics, Control and Automation, Interior Design, Mechanical, Construction, and Natural Gas and Installation Technology participated in the technical trip.

During the technical trip, which took place between 09:00 and 20:00, students had the opportunity to examine the technical operation processes of a large-scale tourism facility on-site. Detailed information was provided about the functioning of mechanical, electrical, automation-based, and structural infrastructure systems used in the accommodation sector throughout the trip. It was aimed for students to develop their professional perspectives by directly observing the technical infrastructures actively used in the sector.

As part of the program, technical presentations were made to students by industry representatives; comprehensive information was provided about the technical management approach of the facilities, maintenance-repair processes, energy efficiency applications, automation systems, and sustainability policies. Students had the opportunity to ask their questions about the activities carried out in technical units directly to the authorities, gaining practical knowledge.

Through one-on-one meetings, students became informed about the current needs and working conditions of the sector, while also gaining important insights for their internship and career planning. In this respect, the technical trip provided an important interaction environment that allowed direct communication between students and industry representatives.

The technical trip structured within the Professional Education Course contributed to students' ability to relate the knowledge they acquired in theoretical courses to real business environments. Thus, students had the opportunity to evaluate their academic knowledge practically and improve their professional competencies.

As a result, this academically qualified technical trip has made significant contributions to the professional development of students, increased their sectoral awareness, and contributed to strengthening university-industry collaboration.
