The Computer Technologies Department Participated in the 9th Mediterranean Informatics Summit

The faculty members of the Computer Technologies Department of the Technical Sciences Vocational School, Lecturer Gökhan TURAN, Lecturer Şevket BAŞ, and students of the Computer Programming Program, had a strong participation in the 9th Mediterranean Informatics Summit held at the Mimar Sinan Congress Center, hosted by Antalya Technopolis, on Friday, December 5, 2025.
The summit, which is among the largest informatics events in Turkey, was held this year with the theme “Code the Future, Explore the Universe”.

Our university's Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin DALGAR attended the program as part of the protocol, following the opening speeches and sessions; he evaluated the presentations on artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and value-added production. Rector Dalgar met with industry representatives and students throughout the summit to exchange views on university-industry collaboration opportunities.

Sessions on artificial intelligence applications, innovative technologies, current trends in the informatics sector, and workforce transformation were held at the summit. Our academics and students gained significant insights by following these sessions.

Our students had the opportunity to develop their visions with inspiring speakers throughout the summit and accessed internship, job, and project opportunities by having one-on-one meetings with leading companies in the sector.
